Effective January 1, 2012, Complete Sanitation LLC of Plano was awarded the contract to be the sole waste and recycling service provider for all of the homes in the City of Plano, Illinois. Below are the details of the services to be provided:
Each Resident will receive 1 – 65 gallon wheeled cart for garbage and 1 – 65 gallon wheeled cart for recyclables
Complete Sanitation will take one large item OR one bundle of construction material (not to exceed 4 foot in length, two foot in diameter, or 50 pounds) OR one additional bag or can (up to 32 gallons) of waste each week.
Additional refuse cans or bags outside of the cart must have one sticker. Additional bulk items above and beyond the (one item) will require 5 stickers. Tires with no rims will be collected and will require 5 stickers each.
Stickers will be $1.00 each and will be available at: Plano City Hall 17 E. Main St./ Complete Sanitation 710 E. South St. Plano / Corral Marathon Station 1001 W. Rt. 34 in Plano / Citgo Station 101 Waubonsee Dr. in Plano.
Complete Sanitation will pick up white goods and electronics for recycling. White goods and electronics will need to be placed curbside away from the “normal” waste and recycling.
Electronics (more than 3 pounds) cannot be put into the collection cart or additional can or bag. See reverse side for the (Electronic Device Recycling) details.>
There will be a Spring AND Fall Cleanup for unlimited waste, large items, recycling, white goods, electronics and up to four tires (no rims).
Fluorescent bulbs can be taken to Complete Sanitation’s facility in Plano Prescription drug removal will be coordinated with Kendall County Solid Waste.
Customers may rent additional carts with lids from Complete Sanitation.
- Additional 35 gallon cart will require 1 sticker
- Additional 65 gallon cart will require 2 stickers
- Additional 95 gallon cart will require 3 stickers
Yard Waste: (April 1 – Nov 30th) Complete Sanitation will pick up two bags or bundles of brush (bundles of brush must be tied with twine and not to exceed 2 feet in diameter and 4 feet in length) per week at no charge. Additional bags or bundles or brush will require 1 sticker.>
Residents may contract with Complete Sanitation for unlimited yard waste collection.
Residents will have the option of choosing a different size wheeled cart for garbage or recycling. Details will be announced at a later date.
Electronics Recycling Collection
The following are considered Electronic Devices, and are now recyclable. Place these items a couple feet away from your Recycle Cart on your collection day. Another option is to collect several small items then place them out for collection.

- Computers, Cable boxes, Cash registers, Cameras, Clocks, Carpet Sweepers (electric) Coffee makers
- DVD players, Drills
- Electric knives
- Fryers, Food sealing equipment, Fans, Fax machine

- Irons
- Laptops
- Monitors, Mice & Keyboards
- MP3’s, Mixers, Massagers, Microwaves
- Networking equipment
- Printers, PDA’s, Phones (all)
- Rechargeable tools, Remote devices, Radios
- Servers, Scanners, Satellite dish, Shavers, Screwdrivers, Saws, Sanders
- TV’s (all except large furniture type), Typewriters, Toaster ovens, Tooth brushes (Ele)
- Video games & Players, VCR’s, VHS tapes, Vacuum cleaner (minus bag)
