Lt. Allison began his career with the Plano Police Department in August of 2000 and attended the Illinois State Police Academy. In 2002, Lt. Allison became the School Resource Officer for Plano District 88 and spent three years in that role. During his time in the schools, Lt. Allison became a certified DARE instructor and taught the DARE program in Plano for 10 years.

In 2006 Lt. Allison was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and spent 11 years in that role. During that time, Lt. Allison earned his BS from Aurora University and Master of Science Degree in Public Safety Administration from Lewis University. In 2017, Lt. Allison was promoted to his current rank of Lieutenant of Police. In 2021, Lt. Allison graduated from Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, where he held the position of Vice President.

During his time as a Plano Police Officer, Lt. Allison has enjoyed teaching various classes such as BASSET, Leadership at Indian Valley Vocational Center, and Interview & Interrogation Skills to name a few. Currently, Lt. Allison oversees the Patrol Division, Record’s Division, and the day-to-day operations of the Plano Police Department.
