Cars fly down this street and roll right though the stop sign. I would like to see a speed bump put in before one of the many children walking to school becomes one.

Dear board members and citizens - I am a new member of the Plano community (I was born and raised in Oswego) and so far I am loving all of the nature preserves, shopping options, and friendly faces in Plano. I do, however, have one major concern-the railroad tracks that run right through town. As a local, licensed Realtor of six years, I am always thinking about why someone would want to make any place their home. Plano is becoming more and more attractive to first-time buyers and down-sizers. One of the biggest drawbacks I see to living in the downtown Plano area is the constant sound of train horns at all hours of the day and night. I currently reside on the south side of Rte 34 and it is so loud, we have to stop our conversations when we’re outside. I ask that the Plano board act in kind to communities like Montgomery and Oswego. This initiative could only make our community more peaceful and potentially raise property values. Thank you for your consideration.

I moved into Plano Lakewood south 15 years ago in 2005. I have NEVER seen the streets tarred since the initial asphalt paving upon moving in. Also, the red sidewalk edges and meet up to the streets are deteriorating.
My suggestions...
1. Re-tar or repave all the streets
2. Clean up the red sidewalk edges that meet the streets
3. Better street lighting throughout the neighborhoods to enhance safety using LED lighting.

Publish a list of Streets and upcoming construction enhancements. Now that many citizens work/school from home, so we can plan accordingly.

My suggestion is a painted sidewalk obstacle course at foli Park. The path at foli Park is a perfect canvas to place this permanent activity. The city could hire a local artist to do the painting, which would be inexpensive to execute. This addition to foli park would invite more foot traffic and encourage citizens to get out and get active!

There is a need to have a right turn lane for traffic coming from route 34 to enter the Lakewood Springs South subdivision on Cummins st. Almost every time a vehicle is turning right onto Cummins st, there is a vehicle behind the turning car that swerves left to go around the car turning to continue on Eldamain. This is a major accident waiting to happen.
